It is already December, the holiday season is around the corner, feast week has passed, and college basketball is going crazy! One of the most interesting topics is not revolving around a team, but instead a former high school team. I wanted to highlight how unreal and extraordinary these former high school team starters are performing.
Montverde Academy has been known to produce NBA talent and college basketball stars throughout the years. Some significant names include Ben Simmons, RJ Barrett, Cade Cunningham, D’Angelo Russell, Scottie Barnes, Moses Moody, and many more star players. They had one of the best teams in 2020 when Covid hit. But, was that truly the best team they ever had, or was it 2024 Montverde?
- The Montverde Boys: After going 35-0 last year in high school, the Montverde Academy starting five has done nothing but succeed in college. These five kids are proving that they could have potentially beaten some Division 1 teams last year in high school. Here are the stats they are displaying so far this year.
